Knowledge gathering, representation, and reasoning are fundamental challenges of intelligence. Efforts in knowledge base construction include machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, information integration, databases, search, data mining, knowledge representation, human computation, human-computer interfaces, crowd production, and fairness. The AKBC workshops and conference serve as a forum for research in all of these areas, in academia and in practice.
